Troop 504 Eagle Guest - Five for Five

Alburnett Boy Scout Troop 504, working in conjunction with the Alburnett Community School Foundation, identified 5 projects for completion this fall at the Martin Complex.

The 5 projects for 5 Eagle Scouts include:

  1. 2 Horseshoe pits and benches

  2. Sand Volleyball Court

  3. Fitness stations along the walking trail

  4. Landscaping

  5. Painting dugouts, mulching around trees and landscaping along the trail.

Two Eagle Scout Projects Completed

As of December 2009, landscaping for six fitness stations along the walking trail has been completed and two horseshoe pits and benches were constructed in the northwest corner of the complex.

The Foundation board is very appreciative of the many hours of planning, work and expense that went into each project. These projects greatly enhance the recreational facilities available at the Martin Complex.  The scouts, their families and the Foundation board would like to thank the community members and businesses who assisted in these projects.

More Projects at the Complex this Coming Spring!

We look forward to several more Eagle Scout projects at the complex in the spring.

Troop 504 and the Foundation would appreciate your support as these Boy Scouts complete their Eagle projects.  If you can make a monetary donation towards the purchase of materials and/or you can assist in building the projects (tentatively scheduled for October 24 & 25), please contact Allyn Miller at 842-2659 or Tim Townsend at 294-8570.
